Production of upright and grand pianos under Rösler name dates back to the second half of the 19th century. 1878 is considered the official date when Gustav Rösler founded the company, building in Česká Lípa one of the most significant factories of its kind in the entire Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.
Development activity at PETROF has a long tradition. In 1954 PETROF founded the Department of Research and Development where we further perfect our instruments, and measure and fine tune every part of the piano that affects its acoustic properties. Our piano craftsmen hand down their skills from generation to generation, making PETROF one of the leading innovators in the pianomaking industry.
“It is an honour for me to be able to continue the tradition of producing splendid upright and grand pianos more than 140 years. We ensure that Rosler pianos bring pianists nothing but joy and pleasure, and continue to stir the hearts of music lovers throughout the world with their romantic and cultivated tone.”
The grand and upright pianos of Rösler are very wide and sufficient for the requirements of a diverse group of customers.
